2011, Week 15: On time with higher fidelity

On the technical side, I'm not sure what, if anything, you will notice of this, but we just changed the stream server we'd been using and the new site lets us stream the originating music at a higher bitrate than we'd been using before. Now what this means for the bitrate we use to record the podcast isn't much (we're still recording this at 128 kbps) but now it's being down-sampled instead of straight across, so there might be a slight improvement in what you hear. Of course, if you were to come to The Drunken Drow in SL on Wednesday nights from 8-10 Pacific Time, you would be able to hear the difference directly.

Regardless, here's what you missed by not being there yourself:

  1. Coin-Operated Boy by The Dresden Dolls
  2. Transverse by Darklily
  3. These Arms Of Mine by Angelzoom
  4. Cochise by Audioslave
